A WONDERFUL FREE-REED GETAWAY in the heart of the Berkshires! Bucksteep Manor is surrounded by 350 acres of towering pines and majestic maples. The Inn has a lounge, a bar, and plenty of space for playing music and meeting friends old and new in a comfortable, low-key setting. We'll have splendid meals, workshops and spontaneous squeezings throughout the weekend. Hobnob with a variety of free-reed aficionados and behold an assortment of squeezeboxes and their paraphernalia for sale, swap and hagglement. This year we return to our usual time slot - the 3rd weekend in September. The event starts Friday afternoon and continues into Sunday afternoon.

Accommodations vary from camping (no hook-ups) and rustic cabins (read: marginal shelters) to comfy rooms in the Manor House (with shared bathrooms) and the newer Lodge and Annex (with private bathrooms). Rates include lodging for Friday and Saturday nights and all meals beginning with Friday evening dinner through Sunday late brunch, except as noted otherwise. Room rates are per person based on double occupancy. We will assign roommates taking into consideration preferences and foibles (or lack thereof) noted in your registration.

Sending in your registration form and payment early is fine, though we won't be processing registrations until May 2nd. Be aware that ROOM accommodations fill quickly! We will hold a lottery on May 2nd if we have received more room requests than Bucksteep can accommodate. Cabins fill at a more relaxed pace, and space for camping is ample. Payment in full is required at the time of registration.

We accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover by phone, mail, or fax, as well as checks, which should be made out to The Button Box and mailed to the address below. Do let us know if you have special preferences (special diet? smoker? snorer? other foibles?). We'll let you know if you have a preference we can't accommodate, and we'll send out confirmation letters, including a map and directions in late August.
