The Button Box specializes in concertinas and accordions. Our new accordion lines include
Castagnari, Saltarelle, and Hohner; our new concertina lines include Stagi, Concertina Connection, and the Morse brand which we make here in our workshop. We also sell used and restored vintage accordions (many brands) and concertinas (most typically Wheatstone, Lachenal, and Jeffries). We offer expert tuning and repair service for all concertinas and button accordions. Augmenting our instrument sales is our selection of concertina and accordion books, recordings, and accessories. We are the organizers of the annual Northeast Squeeze-In and Northeast Concertina Workshop events. The Button Box has now produced over 500 R. Morse
& Co.
concertinas. Instrument #001, dating from 1999,
remains here in its special spot on our shelves, while others have
travelled to many points around the world - though, so far as we know,
none have yet made the trip to outer space. #500 made its way to
its new home in Seattle Washington, USA in July 2007.
Our annual fall event, the Northeast Squeeze-In will be held this coming September 19, 20, and 21 this year at our usual haunt

Our annual Northeast
Concertina Workshop event is held each spring here in Sunderland, Massachusetts. It is a day-long series of workshop sessions and evening concert by the professional staff. This recent event featured world-class concertina greats Micheál Ó Raghallaigh, John Roberts, Richard Carlin, Ian Robb.... Next year's event is scheduled for April 18, 2008.  The Button Box is
now carrying Concertina
Connection's
new line of concertinas. As these boxes are so robust - and as most
beginner concertina players want to "trade up" after playing a beginner
box a while - we offer a full purchase price trade-in value when a
